ABOUT CAPRICE:
Overview: In 1959 Caprice revolutionized the soft furnishings industry as Australia’s first manufacturer to produce continuous sheer curtain fabrics. Sheer curtains remain a core division of the company today with advanced knitting technologies being used to create innovative fabric and designs.
Acknowledging the shift in international markets Caprice has worked tirelessly to create and maintain relationships with key suppliers and distributors in New Zealand, China, Singapore and India, and in 1978 a New Zealand branch of Caprice was opened to better service all major New Zealand retailers. Expanding into the overseas market has seen Caprice become one of the largest suppliers of textile home wares in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
In addition to research and product development Caprice now has an extensive product range including bed linen, drapery hardware, blinds, ready-made furnishings, sheers, craft, furniture, acoustic fabric, decorative fabrics, dress fabrics, apparel, footwear, bags, rainwear, accessories, outerwear, sleepwear and underwear.
This diverse product range has evolved through strategic internal expansion and acquisition, including the procurement of AAA Trading Pty Ltd, M.Simonsons and Belmondo in 2008 and Casco Blu, Clothes Scene and Wildcard in 2013. Throughout these periods of expansion Caprice’s mission to maintain their position as a market leader through innovation, and provide exceptional customer service remains pivotal to the all divisions of the company.

Bring your creativity and passion for design into this diverse graphic design role for a market leader and manufacturer in children's fashion apparel. This varied role will also involve conceptual presentations to key retailers and accounts, so we require a confident and experienced professional who possesses a solid understanding of design trends including experience with both licensed and generic product.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Creating innovative storyboard ranges from briefs and research
2. Contribute to design development process
3. Researching and interpreting fashion design trends that are relevant to our customers
4. Provide technical drawings to design / pattern dept
5. Create packaging
6. Working with Au design team
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following skills and experience:
•Advanced Illustrator & Photoshop skills
•Good English communication skills both written and verbal
•Ability to present in a confident and enthusiastic manner
•Conceptualization, organizational and problem solving skills
•Highly motivated and able to work well as part of a team.
•Able to work fast and efficiently under pressure.
